2022: A Year of Building
This year has been crazy. Like proper crazy. It is now coming to the end of the year, and reflecting back, it’s been a year of fast-paced change, new experiences and everything in between. It’s been great but at the same time, I want next year to be better. I want to push myself even more. I want to create even better stuff. I want to grow, progress and become better more than ever before. So I am going to make some changes.
I thought that others may be going through a similar situation - looking into next year wondering how they can make it better. So I thought I would share my thoughts with everyone. This will I am fully transparent. You guys can keep me accountable. And hopefully it will help people in the process. Win, win win.
I am going to use one word to orientate 2022 around. That word is: Building. Essentially, this means focusing on growing and creating amazing stuff.

One of my friends described this year that I had brought some land, cleared the space, put in some initial ground work. Now this year, I am going to lay the strongest, deepest foundations, and start building a really cool fucking house. So this year is about filling up with concrete and laying the bricks.
Here are some of the steps I am going to be taking to make sure I build my metaphorical house this year.
Firstly, I know if I genuinely want building to be my direction. And I want to build the vision, I have in my mind, which is very very ambitious, I need to do it every day. So I am changing my phone and computer screensaver to this. That way, every morning, every day, I will be reminded of this article, the principle that I need to build.
Secondly, turning this idea into reality will mean ensuring my time is spent on building. So I am going to make sure my calendar reflects this. Therefore I am going to allocate my time to building activities. Spending less time on anything else that doesn’t align to my values. One of the key aspects in order to make this work, will be really valuing my time. I want to go into each day thinking how can I 10x what I am doing - and only spend my time on those things.
Underlying everything I’m doing will be creating amazing content. I want to focus on creating the best content possible. The most original, valuable, creative, outrageous, inspiring and interesting content possible. To do this effectively I will be trying to invest in doing interesting things, pursuing new, adventurous opportunities and creating the most interesting life. An interesting life = interesting content. And I want to bring everyone on the journey with me, really sharing the behind-the-scenes aspects.
There are 2 key benefits to being content-led. Firstly, due to the power of social media, and the chance my content has to be seen by potentially millions, is leverage. Each post has the opportunity to have a wide, and as impactful as possible. Secondly, I want to attract more. And if people are inspired, interested and resonate with my content, they will hopefully reach out.
